I am working on a website. I feel like a kid with a No.2 pencil and Big Chief tablet sitting in the Encyclopedia Britannica publishing room.
I am in the embryonic stages and would like some honest opinions about the site. Log onto: www.saintpetersanimalhospital.com Tell me where to go. I am open to any and all suggestions (colors, layout, information, etc.).
Also, I'd like some personal dog pictures to put on the site. You can be credited if you like or remain anonymous. I don't want to get pictures off the web for my site. I want real people's pets.
You can communicate via my personal email (jack.r.phillips@att.net) or via this forum. _________________ Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities (Voltaire)

This is an on-going waaaay too difficult struggle, but I have made some changes...have a look and be honest...tell me what I need to change, add or quit doing. Yeah, I know I could hire a 40 bazillion dollar an hour outfit to do this for me but there is a certain lack of control there and I refuse to believe that I can't wrap my feeble brain around this problem.
"Badges", URLs, and links and things that have no logical explanation are involved here and I can tell you I have NO FREAKIN' IDEA what the hell I am doing. My ultimate goal is to make it possible for YOU to get your dog/cat vaccinated over the internet...this may take some time...imagine...hold "fluffy's" butt up to your computer screen and presto-chango...a shot in the dark and all is well with the world.? Don't laugh...you thought "tricorders" were science fiction...we have them now...sorta.
www.saintpetersanimalhospital.com and the facebook page has the same name...I have a feeble mind...it's got to be simple or I caint do it. _________________ Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities (Voltaire)

Looks good Jack, here are a couple of my ideas:
front page - make your email "clickable"
Add a patients page, and start taking "face pics" of the dogs and cats you serve....no people, just the pets.
I sent it to my sister for a customer testimonial.....she has taken her dogs to you for years.

Ghost, don't go getting all "technical" on me here. How to make email clickable? Beats the hell outta me, but I'll work on it. This project is waaaay more complicated than it needs to be. I'm getting a lot of good ideas and have a notebook where I'm writing this all down. It's kinda fun but also frustrating. Might be easier if I were a tad smarter.
In any case I do appreciate all the comments and criticisms. Thanks. _________________ Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities (Voltaire)

Many times it is more frustrating than it needs to be. A long, long time ago the only way to make a web page was to know html writing. Now you can use so many "user friendly" programs which sometimes forget that the users don't understand the premise. Good luck, the learning curve can be steep. _________________ Apache Mom
