I think the phone call part works better because the Razor is a Motorola.
The iPhone Internet part is because it is totally dependent on 3G service. It will work on EDGE Service in a very poor manner. Inside the condo is is working off the Broadband instead of the EDGE service from the towers.
AT&T promised me 2 years ago they were putting 3G in at the Lake. Now they say NO. Your iPhone Internet function will not work at the Lake at all when the towers get saturated with cell phone calls on Holiday weekends. _________________ Butch Demaree |

My first generation iphone has never failed me at the lake. The sunset pic I posted last weekend came directly from the lake, through photobucket and into lakeozarktalk on the ATT edge network. Last summer I couldn't find a restaurant by water, so I googled it and added the address into the gps app---it led me right to the spot! (I'm waiting for Terry to add the tapatalk app--like mwbp).
To my kids disappointment, I even canceled my internet at the lakehouse because I can do so much office work from the iphone (also coming out next quarter, ION has a very cool $70.00 external keyboard that was displayed at the Consumer Electronic Show and will allow for more extensive typing).
Never a problem on the water or the house.

JZ,
I hope you are right. But, the proof is on a busy weekend.
Please keep me informed.
I am interested in one. But I am very skeptical after my Air Card experience ans what AT&T tells me. _________________ Butch Demaree |

Smitty,
I am going to hope you are right on this one. You haven't led me astray before.
My wife just got an iPhone today.
I think we will need the 3G at the Lake soon.
I am hanging on to my Motorola V9, for the time being. _________________ Butch Demaree |

Your dad got her the iphone because he KNEW it would suck her into a time warp and he would now know where she was at all times...hunkered over the damned thing trying to figure it out! _________________ Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities (Voltaire)
